‘Tis the season to be jolly..

We are so close to Christmas now. I can’t seem to contain my excitement.
December has always been a happy month for me. Each passing date of the month carries a stronger flavour of the Christmas spirit. The days are infused with merriment. After years, I will be experiencing the joy of spending Christmas with my family and loved ones. What more can I ask for?
December mornings mean clinging to your comforter and not wanting to get out. Reluctant showers. Cups of hot chocolate. And the ticking of the countdown. What fun it is to watch homes getting dressed for the season.
Some nights ago, the sister and I spent some time putting up the tree. Adorning each branch with stars and ornaments. We worked in the company of sweet Christmas carols. The gifts have been bought. The wrapping is done. The house has been graced with candles, bells and other Christmassy goodies.
Here is a picture of our humble tree. This is the first picture we took after it was ready. We did add on and redo it a few times, but I do not have a picture of it in it’s renewed glory. Β So this will have to work for now. It is not as big or well done as I would have liked. But this trusted tree has been with us for years. Our home is not big enough toΒ accommodateΒ a bigger tree. Perhaps Christmas 2013 will bring a new tree with it.
And now, it is time to talk to Santa..
Dear Santa,
I know you read my blog. For Christmas this year, I want a new camera. I know I am wee bit late, and I should have made this known earlier. But I also know this was an easy guess for you. You were expecting to hear it from me. So I hope you have already made the necessary preparations. If not, you still have a few days to go.
Thank you,
Pepper

Oh that tree is so delightful ! The lights accompanied by the snow fall on your blog template is just…perfect! π
Wish you and family a very merry christmas. You have been quite a good girl this year, so am sure Santa shall grant you the wish… π

You know, I was going to state this in my letter.. “Dear Santa, I have been a good girl this year..” But then I thought that was a very debatable statement π So I skipped it and got straight to the point.

My santa is also my husband :)). I am getting a kindle fire!! I do have an IPAD, but wanted this as well. Merry christmas to you Pepper!!

Wow, now that is a generous Santa! π Quite a technology freak you are.
I am quite the opposite. I dislike gadgets, so I am quite inexpensive on the whole. Lol. The only reason I want a camera this time is cos we need one. We lost our old camera in Europe, and I am tired of using my cellphone to take pictures.
Happy Holidays to you Deepa π

That tree looks gorgeous!! π And that letter to Santa is darn cute. Hope you get what you wish for and more this holiday season. π Merry Christmas in advance!
December, and the spirit of Christmas, fills me with joy too. I just love this season. π
I love seeing Christmas decorations everywhere and doing Christmas-sy things, but never thought of putting up a tree in our house. Last year, we began doing it – a fake tree, with a few decorations. We don’t do Christmas gifts under the tree, but do buy each other whatever we want. π It’s fun, and we hope to improve on this in the years to come. π This year, I have my family close by for Christmas too, so it’s different. π

The happiness and excitement is contagious. This season is like that. It makes us all happy π
I’ve always had a Christmas tree and have forever participated in everything Christmas. I suppose it was the large influence of my Catholic schooling. But ofcourse, the tree was fake. I didn’t think wanting a real tree was a realistic expectation to have. As kids, we used to find our gifts in the stockings we hung by our window. Now, we put the gifts ‘around’ the tree. Yes, around, not under, because our tree is not big enough. Like I said, maybe next year can be different π

How many days before Santa…er… Mint lands in town again? π π
Love that tree π I so miss Xmas in UK… there was so much joy and cheer that you can’t help being caught up in it!

A Minty Santa will be in town in January. But somebody told us we will find him in a certain B School now. So we’re heading to the campus in a few days. π
Yes, I miss Christmas in the US too. What more than makes up for it is the presence of my family. Despite all the festive grandeur in the US and other western countries, I always thought the celebration was incomplete. I won’t be saying that this year π

Merry Christmas Pepper and have a wonderful new year ahead. So did Santa come with those presents from North pole?

Santa came. I changed my mind about the gift though. And communicated it to him in the end moment. He was able to cope with the changes, thankfully π
