A dash of Pepper…

…with a splash of Mint

Inhale. Exhale.

Posted by Pepper on February 17, 2021

I have been dealing with massive anxiety. So I’ve been a little quiet around here. I expect this gigantic wave of stress to pass in the next few days. Oh God, I really hope it does, I can’t function like this. This blog used to be a good place for a mental dump at one time. I really wanted to write more about my feelings and the causes. But over the years, I have come to the realization that the best of the best people get sick of hearing you, patting your back and telling you it will be okay.

So for the sake of not annoying the random (and mostly silent) people who seemingly read my blog, I will not unload here this time. I will probably write a password protected post IF I continue feeling the way I am. The content isn’t too private, I just don’t want to forcefully dump on people who haven’t signed up for it. For now, I will pray that things turn around and I am able to move past this.

Until then, I am going to try to focus on some breathing exercises. Inhale. Exhale.

Hang in there Pepper !! Try to distract your mind to positive things (Easier said I know !) . Continue to inhale, exhale ….take it one day at time.
Hope things sort out for you !

  2. Honey, most of us in blogdom read others to help them offload their burden, like they do ours. So don’t worry about dumping…dump away. If nothing else, it will help put your worries in perspective.
My blog, as the name and icon suggest, is my garbage dump. I throw out everything in my head to get rid of the stink inside. I have come to realise that my readers are few, but they lend me their ear (or eyes) without judgement.

I absolutely love the name of your blog. And thank you for the reminder. I know most people will be supportive even if they read trash, I guess I should stop caring about the ones who will not.

I can hazard a guess on what it’s about that’s giving you this anxiety. Think positive and know that you will be able to handle everything.
This is your blog and you should be able to use it to help you. If people get annoyed they skip the post, simple πŸ€—

Hope it passes soon.. I dont think think you are dumping at all.. One of the main reasons i dont comment on your blog is because I cant remember my wordpress login and i dont want to use Google of Facebook.

Thank you for giving me the leeway to annoy with my writing sometimes 😊.. and I am sorry, I didn’t mean to make anyone feel obligated to comment. While I love reading comments, I’m perfectly okay with people just reading too.

At the very outset, I am guilty as charged of being a silent lurker here….the only reason being I had nothing worthwhile to say!
But I felt today’s entry needs to be responded to. All the people who write blogs, share their lives and thoughts so generously and it is such a treat to be offered that glimpse in your heart, mind and life…this forms a bond between us…the writer and the reader. So be assured that your venting is as welcome as your gushing…
I belong to the old school of thought where friendship is without boundaries and both sorrows and joys are acknowledged. The new age philosophy of: surround yourself only with positive people, set boundaries, cut out negativity doesn’t resonate with me when speaking of friends.
So, please put it all here, it is your space and we are just visitors who enjoy your company.
Much love and strength to you.

Sigdijan, you aren’t guilty of anything. I am a silent lurker at more than half the blogs I read. I know how it feels to not have anything worthwhile to contribute.. I really didn’t mean to force people to step out and comment.
Thank you for that beautiful comment today. Yes, there’s a strange bond between the write and the reader, I fully agree, having played both roles. I will try to not over think before writing. Thank you so much for being there πŸ™‚

Hugs Pepper! I’m a silent reader but I do love reading your thoughts and never feel you’re moaning or anything like that. I love how honest you are. I hope you’re able to deep breathe your way out of anxiety and whatever’s causing you to feel this way gets resolved. I’ve been having some health issues since last year and unfortunately dealing with tons of anxiety as a side effect. It sucks. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Shuchita, you said it. I wouldn’t wish this kind of anxiety on anyone. Most people don’t even know how bad it can be. I am so sorry you have been dealing with this along with added health stress. If you ever feel like talking about it, please do mail me. I have dealt with these demons and I think having people who really understand it helps a lot.

Hang in there, Pepper. Do whatever helps you and eases your mind. Take care!

  10. Hugs Pepper πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— Hope things get sorted out for you and you will be relieved of the stress and anxiety.
Why do you have to think about writing in your own space ? Just put down whatever you feel like, who knows you may get a whole new perspective or solution out of it ?
    Take care….

Pepper, I think I speak for most of the People here, but we read you because of who you are. Feel free to dump your feelings because if that’s not what this space is for, then I am not sure what it is for.

Have faith that this will pass. Wish you peace

Noooo please don’t make it password protected. I love reading your blog! It’s beautiful to see how life unfolds for somebody else. I remember reading your blog loooong time ago. A year ago, I was not in a great place and I remembered blogger all of a sudden. I was just soooo happy to sit and read through all of your posts. Today, after a long time I got reminded of you and your blog. At the moment I am on my bed, my pregnancy hasn’t been very easy so far. I recalled reading your posts about Cotton and Candy and I super happy to see that you are back here. πŸ™‚ We love you pepper!

    • Pepper said

Oh Hanan, big hugs! Thank you for making my day with your comment. I do exactly the same, go and read through the archives of some of the bloggers I like and it instantly uplifts me. I’m so happy to know my blog could do that for you.

And hey, congratulations! Be kind to yourself. Growing a human is not an easy job.. I’m sorry you are having a difficult pregnancy, but rest as much as you can and I will pray that your journey gets easier. Lots of love and do keep me posted if you can. I’d love to know once the baby is here πŸ™‚
